Companies interested in working with NCDM scientists, sponsoring NCDM research and development projects, getting involved in our on-going projects, learning more about standards, leveraging our open source technology, or our outreach activites are encouraged to contact us.

Workshops

The NCDM hosts workshops each year. For the past two years, it has co-sponsored the SIAM International Conference on Data Mining (SDM). For the past three years, it has sponsored the annual PMML Workshop. It has also sponsored a variety of other workshops in recent years.

Undergraduate Research Experiences

Each summer the NCDM participates in the NSF Undergraduate Research Experience Program and hosts undergraduates interesting in working with faculty and staff on NCDM projects. Please contact us if you are interesting in participating in this.

Mathematics and Information Sciences for Industry

UIC's Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science is offering a Masters Degree program in Mathematical and Information Sciences for Industry (MISI). The MISI program offers an integrated, interdisciplinary curriculum combining both discrete and applied mathematics with computer science, project management, and communication skills. Students enrolled in the program can do their research in NCDM labs as well as other departmental and campus computing facilities.
